Memories of Bill Crone
Bill Crone, stationed here in Hameln from 1972 to 1975 with the 64 Amphibious Engineer Squadron RE, sent me his entire photo album—packed with memories of his service time in Hameln. I scanned and did a bit of editing on the photos before returning the original album to Bill. In this section, you’ll find images taken within Bindon Barracks. I’m very proud and grateful that you trusted me and sent the whole album. Thank you, Bill!

Memories of Bill Crone
Vielen Dank, Bill!

I was with 64 from 1973 through to 1975 great when on exercise and when stationed in Belfast during the troubles in June 1973. I used to ride my BSA Lightening 650 to and from the UK, mad! Scotty Nicolson

i remember Sammy really well my sister LYNN and her friend stayed with sammy and his wife when they came over as pen pals to meet blue phillips and jamie smart, my sister married blue later.
I was here from May 1971 until December 1973. It was the best time of my army life. I was gutted when I was posted on compassionate grounds
