Headquarters of the 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade dissolved
As announced, on April 1, 1969 the headquarters of the 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade, which had been stationed in Hameln, was dissolved on April 1st. As the British officers have reported on past events, this will not affect the strength of the troops in Hameln.
As usual, the HQ of the 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade was adopted with a parade in the Gordon Barracks. Lieutenant General Sir Mervyn Butler KCB CBE DSO MC Commander of the 1 (UK) Corps inspected the parade.

Brigadier der 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade verlässt die Stadt
Wie schon angekündigt, wurde am 01.04.1969 das Hauptquartier der 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade welches in Hameln stationiert gewesen ist am 01. April aufgelöst. Wie die britischen Offiziere schon bei vergangenen Anlässen berichtet haben wird sich das nicht auf die Truppenstärke in Hameln auswirken.
Standesgemäß wurde das HQ der 11th (UK) Engineer Brigade mit einer Parade in den Gordon Barracks verabschiedet. Lieutenant-General Sir Mervyn Butler KCB CBE DSO MC Kommandeur der 1 (UK) Corps inspizierte die Parade.
