On August 26, 1999, the command of the 28th Engineer Regiment changed hands.
Exactly 25 years ago, John Mullin, an Englishman, handed over command to his successor, Andrew Mills, a Scotsman. The local Newspaper „Deister- und Weserzeitung“ also reported on this leadership change at the time.

Am 26. August 1999 wechselte das Kommando beim 28 Engineer Regiment. John Mullin, ein Engländer, übergab das Kommando an seinen Nachfolger Andrew Mills, einem Schotten. Auch die Deister- und Weserzeitung berichtete damals über diesen Führungswechsel.
